Petri Dish

Received a call from the daycare yesterday afternoon at work. The baby was fussy and had been pulling on her ear all day. Poor thing had an ear infection--which would partially explain the odd pattern of sleeping and crying yesterday morning. I immediately felt guilty for being so annoyed with her that morning and not realizing that something was wrong. The problem is, since being a daycare baby, she comes home with sniffles and coughs all the time. How am I supposed to know when that little sniffle has morphed into an ear or sinus infection? Good news is, Grandma and Grandpa are visiting next week so she will get some extra spoiling!
